Anonymous local chat — live demo

Your neighborhood is talking. Join in.

One tap drops you into a real conversation with someone nearby — a night-shift nurse, a fellow night owl, a stranger with the best biryani take in your lane. No names, no numbers. Just a codename and a few minutes of serendipity.

A taste of it

Strangers, 800 meters apart, mid-conversation.

Every chat starts the same way: two codenames, zero context, and somewhere to go from there. Text first — voice only when you both lean in.

Try it yourself

How it works

Sixty seconds to a stranger.

  1. 1Share location once. We blur it to ~1 km before it touches our servers, and nobody ever sees your distance.
  2. 2Get matched 1-1. The radar pairs you with a random person within 2–5 km. No swiping, no profiles, no follower counts.
  3. 3Talk, then optionally call. Text first; a voice call connects peer-to-peer only after both sides accept. Either side can vanish anytime.

Safety

Anonymous by architecture, not by promise.

Codenames, not identitiesServer-issued names like QuietFox#4821. Nothing to link back to you.
Blurred by defaultExact coordinates never touch our database — only ~1 km cells.
Nothing is keptChats live in memory and die with the session. No history to leak.
Instant exitEnd, skip, or report any conversation in one tap. Reports block re-matching.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Is SocialRadar free?

Yes — the demo is free and needs no account. Allow location once and tap.

Do I need to sign up or share my number?

No. There is no login, no phone number, and no profile. Your identity is a random codename that lasts for your session.

How close are my matches?

Matching starts within about 2 km and expands to 5 km if nobody is around. You only ever see “nearby” — never an address or a distance.

How do voice calls work?

After matching over text, either side can request a call. Audio connects directly between your devices only after both sides accept — our servers never hear it — and either side can hang up anytime.

Are my chats stored anywhere?

No. Messages pass through live and the per-session buffer is deleted the moment the conversation ends. Reload mid-chat and even your own screen starts empty.

What if someone misbehaves?

End the chat instantly, skip to the next person, and report the session. Reports block re-matching with that user.

Someone 800 meters away is bored too.

No app to install. No form to fill. Just tap and talk.
